We’re excited to see HorseSafe featured in the Pohutukawa Coast Times, with co-founder Tristan Wade and his wife Felicity, an equine vet, sharing the story behind the technology and how it came to be.
HorseSafe was born from a simple but difficult question: what if you could know something was wrong with your horse when you weren’t there to see it?
Nearly a decade later, that idea has grown into a technology helping horse owners stay connected to their horses when work, family, travel or everyday life takes them away from the property.
That idea of peace of mind has always been central to HorseSafe. It’s not about replacing an owner’s knowledge of their horse; it’s about giving them another way to keep an eye on things when they can’t physically be there.
The Pohutukawa Coast Times takes a closer look at the journey behind HorseSafe, from the experience that sparked the idea to the years of development that followed, and where the technology is heading today.
It’s also a story about building something from Whitford and seeing it reach horse owners much further afield.
