On Sunday 30th of November 2026, one of our customers had a real scare - and a huge reminder of why early alerts matter.
At 8:00am, Pauline got a HorseSafe notification saying Jack was cast. She was already at work and couldn't get there for a couple of hours, so she quickly messaged her group to check on him.
When they found Jack, he was tucked around the side of the paddock where no one would normally see him. His cover had slipped up his neck and twisted, and he was starting to choke. Blood was coming from his nose, he was in a lot of trouble.
The team managed to get the cover off and roll him over, and as soon as they did, Jack got back up. He had a sponge bath, ate his breakfast, and by the time Pauline arrived after 10am, he was back out grazing like nothing had happened.
”If Jack hadn't had his HorseSafe on I would not have found him until 3.30pm that afternoon - he would have been dead by then.", Pauline wrote.
We're incredibly grateful she emailed us and shared this story, and very glad Jack is still here, happy, well, and alive to spend Christmas with his family. This is exactly why we built HorseSafe: to give horse owners peace of mind, even when they can't be there.
Wishing all our customers (and their horses) a safe and relaxing Christmas season!
